With quotes like: Yep, that tasted purple! A solid giggle should do the trick! Never look a Tulip in the eye! That squirrel looks familiar... Cuddly incoming! It has to be good.

Lulu is really solid and compatible with nearly all adcs. However, her mechanics are complex and she runs on utility so that's something you have to get used to.
Sona is a good basic support because she's really easy to play. If you learn to utilize her passive and dodge skill shots you can carry your adc pretty easily.
Avoid nami and leona unless you really like sensitive skill shots.
Blitz and Thresh are great (especially thresh because you're still useful when you miss you grab) But they are always banned so if you're taking it into ranked only knowing one of these is pretty much useless.
I'm currently a huge fan of orianna and karma supports due to their high poke capabilities, speed, and shields. But you have to learn to build them with utility actives and auras, you are not the carry....
Janna is complicated... Taric is good but I hate him so I will not recommend him.... Soraka really is not the best.

Soraka really is not the best. Yeah, Lulu is a very strong support to have in your back pocket. I might recommend Janna though, she works well with any adc and can make incredible plays. A good Janna can actually carry games. If you're feeling Balls Deep, go for Leona or Blitz. Keep in mind with either that since the skilshots are tough to hit, popping your stun/knockup with the threat of comboing into the skillshot will scare away most people and you still have the CD. Also Taric is bad don't play him.

Leona bro. If you know how to play her, she's fantastic. Especially for the later teamfights. I'm not great with her, but I know what she can do, and if you manage to pull it off......GG.
